Brighton Women v West Ham United Women live: score, updates and line-ups

Full time at the Amex and Brighton wrap up a thoroughly deserved 3-0 win over West Ham. Symonds' outside-the-box strike put them ahead before the break, then Kirby and Seike turned a tight game into a rout with goals three minutes apart midway through the second half. West Ham rallied late with a flurry of chances but never looked like finding a way back, and Brighton see out the closing stages comfortably to claim all three points.

Job largely done now and Brighton have eased off a touch, with West Ham enjoying a late rally without ever really threatening the three-goal cushion. Wandeler forced a save from Nnadozie and Asseyi twice headed off target, but the Hammers' extra shots haven't troubled the scoreboard. Brighton, freshened up by a string of substitutions, still lead the possession and have a corner to work as the clock ticks down at 3-0.

Brighton suddenly pull clear! Fran Kirby bundles one in from close range to make it 2-0, then Kiko Seike adds a third three minutes later, finishing from the centre of the box after Emilie Joramo's assist. West Ham, down to ten in spirit after that frantic spell, have been given a lifeline of sorts with Piubel coming on for Kumagai, but this is now very comfortable viewing for the Seagulls at the Amex.

A quiet start to the second period compared to that frantic finish to the first. Brighton have started on the front foot again, winning an early corner and seeing Garcia flagged offside as they probe for a second, while West Ham's change at the break - Wandeler on for Gago - hasn't yet altered the pattern of the game. Possession and the shot count remain much as they were, with the Seagulls still well on top at 1-0.

A stop-start finish to the half, with the game interrupted by a string of injury checks on both sides. West Ham have shown a bit more intent, Zelem dragging a long-range effort wide, but Brighton remain well on top in possession and shots as the sides head in with the Seagulls 1-0 up thanks to that Symonds screamer.

What a strike! Maisie Symonds curls one in from outside the box into the top corner to put Brighton 1-0 up, just reward for the pressure they'd been building. The Seagulls continue to dominate possession and have doubled their shot count since that opener, with West Ham yet to test Nnadozie.

Brighton have had the better of this opening spell, seeing plenty of the ball and forcing a decent chance when Kiko Seike cut in from the left but was denied by Picaud-Inconnu in the West Ham goal. West Ham have been dangerous from set-pieces though, with Katie Zelem heading wide from a corner, and they're currently pressing again after winning another one off Maelys Mpomé. Scrappy start overall with fouls creeping in from both sides, but still goalless at the Amex.
