Brighton Lunchtime Round-Up, Sunday 25th October 2026: Hurzeler's Brighton Gear Up for Anfield Test

There's plenty of talk today about Fabian Hurzeler staying put at the Amex, with SussexWorld suggesting he was right to knock back Manchester United's interest because he still has unfinished business with Brighton (SussexWorld).

That focus seems to be firmly on the pitch, with the Seagulls heading to Anfield this afternoon to take on Liverpool at 2pm (SussexWorld) (SussexWorld). SussexWorld have run through a predicted XI, with decisions reportedly made on whether Jack Hinshelwood and Georginio feature in the starting line-up (SussexWorld).

Ahead of the game, Hurzeler has given his verdict on the test awaiting his side, delivering a confident "We can" message while also sounding a note of caution about the calibre of opponents like Liverpool and Manchester City (SussexWorld). It sets up an intriguing afternoon on Merseyside as Brighton look to back up their manager's belief with a result away from home.
