Brighton Lunchtime Round-Up, Thursday 5th November 2026: Hurzeler Up for Manager of the Month Again as Albion Prepare for Getafe Trip
Good news on the manager front - Fabian Hurzeler has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award once again, a nice sign of how well things are going under him (BrightonAndHoveAlbion.com).
Attention is also turning to tonight's Conference League trip to Spain, with Brighton facing Getafe at the Estadio Coliseum, kick-off 8pm (SussexWorld). Ahead of the game, the club have put out an official fan safety statement for supporters heading to Madrid for the clash (SussexWorld).
There's also been some transfer chatter swirling around goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, with reports of La Liga interest in the Dutchman. Asked about his future, Verbruggen gave a response hinting he knows more than he's letting on, saying "I can tell you" when pressed on the transfer question (SussexWorld). Nothing concrete yet, but one to keep an eye on as the window talk continues.
